A New Holiday Perspective

Dear Friends,

Leave it to a pandemic to redirect our focus, redefine what matters and reassure us of what/who is urgent.

We’re on the brink of another holiday season. It’s an unfamiliar one. This one has captured our attention, plucked us out of the norm. Shopping, planning, carving, wrapping, decorating, cooking are likely not your main focus this year. It isn’t for me.

The other things, caring, loving, hoping, sharing, giving, praying has taken a sturdy front seat. Steering wheel gripped tightly. Either way, Happy Thanksgiving and the start of the 2020 season.

Just a thought, do you remember what you did last year for Thanksgiving? How about 2018 or even 2015…was it memorable? Why or why not. We won’t likely forget 2020’s holidays. Loaded with an assortment of emotions, our attention is front and center in 2020. Perhaps this is a lesson for post-pandemic living: live with the same intentional focus and mindfulness.

Right now, I’m in a space of intention and attention. Gratitude is close by too. I want to thank you for sharing your time with me and giving to this community. I appreciate your subscribing to this newsletter, all of the support on LinkedIn, the uplifting emails, notes of kindness and personalized letters. I feel the love!

Take special care of yourself and here’s a holiday wish from my heart to yours. Watch now and remember to forward this e-mail to someone that needs it!

In in Together,
Raquel

PS: Grab your cup of tea and enjoy a re-read of last week’s Finding Gratitude During Tough Times! And a special thank you to subscriber NEINA K. for the beautiful letter, highlighting her tough lessons in Gratitude! Thank you, Neina, for your open heartedness and thoughtfulness!
