Stopping the Defeatist
These days are presenting challenges. Strange challenges ...at least for me.
A few weeks ago, I found myself struggling to stay positive as negative thoughts were running a marathon, buzzing around my head like a crazed bee. Some days it’s bloody hard. I didn't give up though, I had to work my way back using a simple strategy. You can do it too, watch this.
We have to strengthen the part of our brains that produces positive thoughts. Those thoughts produce feelings and emotions.
It's like a muscle, you have to work it. Hear are five things you should know about your brain-mind connection. The research is backed by medical doctors and scientists and you may have heard it before, but what better time to put it into practice than right now?
The brain doesn’t know the different between reality and imagination. So what you think about, you become.
You experience what you think about the most. There is an emotional connection to our thoughts, we program ourselves this way.
Your mind runs mostly on autopilot. Think of driving to work each day, do you see anything different? How quickly can you adjust to a new traffic pattern while tracking down a familiar street?
Shutting off your mind is a must. Too much external and internal noise can wreck havoc. You may want to rethink multi-tasking as well. We hurt our brains with overload of to-do lists.
You can change your brain. New habits if done daily and intentionally can bring healthy changes to your brain and add calmness to your life.
I sincerely hope this is helpful to you. Please share it with anyone that might need a shot of positivity today. I'm here for it!
With Good Vibes,
Raquel
